About SQOOL GAME AWARD

SQOOL GAME AWARD is a game award established by the SQOOL.NET editorial team with the desire to give back to and support "game creators".

SQOOL was founded in January 2013 and began operating the game strategy site "SQOOL.NET". It later developed into a news site and currently operates as a game media outlet.

Throughout our activities, we have been supported by many games, regardless of their scale, from indie games to AAA titles. As SQOOL is a small business entity, there are limitations to introducing games on our site, so we wanted to find a different way to give back to game creators.

So, we decided to start by praising game creators in any way we could! That's why we began presenting awards to game titles at Digital Game Expo 2019.

This turned out to be unexpectedly well-received, and as we created application forms on our site and sent trophies to winners, the number of applicants gradually increased. We increased the frequency from once to twice a year, and from 2024, we began live streaming on our YouTube channel.

While SQOOL GAME AWARD is an award ceremony, we don't necessarily award excellent games or games that are likely to sell well. Instead, we operate with the policy of awarding game titles and game creators that we "want to support," in line with our initial concept.

Therefore, unlike typical game awards, we believe we can introduce various games that you might not usually encounter.

Game creators, please feel free to enter regardless of your game's scale, completion level, sales performance, or reputation. We accept submissions from both developers and publishers.

For game fans, we want to make this a platform where we can introduce various games from around the world. We hope you'll discover new games and find titles that interest you.
